How to clean blade coffee grinder
Updated: May 27
It is always a problem to cleanse the appliances after we used them. Compared with the burr coffee grinder, the blade coffee grinder is much easier to be cleaned according to my experience.
The blade grinder is a very simple appliance that is similar to the blender. Actually it uses the blade to cut the beans instead of grinding. So we only need to clean the blade and the inside container which are the only parts that may remain extra powder in some small corner.
First, you need to know that the beans have special oil inside. So oily powder will stick to the gaps which are hard to reach.
So l will provide my suggestions to you. And you can check if it's suitable for you.
Condition 1: A little residue powder
(1) In this condition, the blade grinder maybe is new or lightly used. So you can use a brush to clean the powder. You can use a toothbrush to clean if you don't have a professional brush. Remember to keep the toothbrush dry.
(2) If the residue is a bit hard to remove. You can use a half-dry cloth to erase the sticky powder. You can also use the half-dry tissue too if you don't have suitable cloth.
Condition 2: A lot of residue powder
(1) In this condition, the residue is very hard to remove by normal procedures. So what I suggested is to get some rice. It's easy to understand that the rice powders can cover the coffee powders and stick to them. Then it's easy to remove the sticky powder with a dry cloth. Keep hard strength and wipe them with the cloth. You can use dry tissue too, but not brush here.
I know you may read some answers that tell you to grind rice and everything is OK. But I tell you that you need to clean with a cloth or tissue after that.
Remark: No liquid is suggested because the inside container maybe is not water-proof.
